Coloring Through Genesis is part of my Coloring Through the Bible in Chronological Order Series. Here are all my posts (thus far) in my Genesis Series.
First, let me tell you a little bit about the origins of the book of Genesis. Authorship of the book of Genesis is attributed to Moses. It was probably written about 1400 BC, during the 40 years that the people of Israel were wandering in the wilderness. It was written to the Israelites who were led out of Egypt to give them a history and rule of life as they wandered in the wilderness and before they entered the land of Canaan. Genesis reminded the people of Israel of their past and prepared them for their future.
