The following are my notes taken during my pastor's sermon.

Praying for God's Will

When we pray for God's will:

1.  We are praying for a promise to be fulfilled.

2.  We are praying for a personal request.

*We must repent.

Before we say, "Your kingdom come," we must say, "my kingdom go."

*We must commit.

But Jesus said to him, "No one after putting his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God." - Luke 9:62

*We must be available.

3.  We are praying for people around us.

*God gives to us to give through us.
Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;  you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.  For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. - 2 Corinthians 9:10-12
*God meets our need when we meet the needs of others.
Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry
And bring the homeless poor into the house;
When you see the naked, to cover him;
And not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
Then your light will break out like the dawn,
And your recovery will speedily spring forth;
And your righteousness will go before you;
The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
You will cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’
If you remove the yoke from your midst,The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness. - Isaiah 58:7-9
