About Me

Hi, I’m Tina.  I’m a former teacher by profession.  I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Georgia (formerly North Georgia College) in 1991.  I have taught in both public and private schools in both typical and special needs classrooms.  My experience covers a variety of grade levels from Preschool to grade 12.

I love to read.  If I can teach a child to read, I’ve accomplished much, but if I can teach a child to love reading, then I’ve taught him or her to love learning which will last a lifetime.

Check out my newest adventure!  Visit my brand new photography website here.  I'm just getting started so come back often as new prints are added regularly.

I’ve been married to Steve since June 15, 1991.  We have three living children and one son in Heaven.  In June 2014, our son gifted us with a daughter-in-law.   My husband and I love watching our children navigate their adult worlds and we love watching our family grow.

Here on the blog, I write a lot about our faith.  Our faith is the foundation of our home.  I love my church.  I attend Bible studies regularly and I enjoy sharing my notes here.  I share them here so that I can organize them into categories and study them further.  They are also here for you to read, study, and apply them to your own lives.

When I read a great book, I’ll tell you all about it.  I recently wrote my first two devotionals, When Cronic Illness Steals Your Joy and 7 Days of Finding Joy in Unjoyful Times.  An updated version of each devotional will be available on Amazon soon, but for now, you can download them in pdf format to your computer for just $5.00.  You'll find them in my my Etsy shop, Quiet Time Devotions here and there's more to come!

As a former educator, I love the quality of  Usborne Books.  I share about them and children's activities to support the books.

I love my slow cooker and more recently, I've become a fan of the Instant Pot.

I can't see enough good movies, especially movies that teach good moral lessons.  Occasionally, I'll share my favorites with you and tell you the reasons I love them so much.
I hope you’ll find something you like here.  If you do, don’t forget to subscribe and follow all my social media pages (found on the right sidebar of this blog) so you won’t miss a post.
